Work Experience:

Freelance / Work Experience (AVWA)
2007 - 2008 (August - March)

1. Worked in a team on menus for the AVWA 25th Anniversary Celebration DVD.
2. Storyboarded each animated menu transition and discussed them with the client.
3. Animated the approved storyboards in the style of traditional Vietnamese art.
4. Assembled the final menus and additional DVD content in DVD Studio Pro.

Freelance (R & D Personalised Printing)
2007 (July – August)

1. Used Illustrator to create page layouts of a product catalogue for one of R & D’s clients.
2. Made changes according to client specifications.

Content Editor (Victoria University)
2007 (January – March)

1. Formatted text for an online course in disaster planning and prevention using ‘markdown’ language.
2. Uploaded content through the Symphony web publishing system.
3. Attended meetings with other team members.

Freelance animator
2006 (March – October)

1. Made an opening animation for a website that runs for 14 seconds.
2. Storyboarded the scene in 6 images, clearly showing the sequence of events to take place.
3. Communicated with the client via e-mail.
4. Animating the final piece in Macromedia Flash and changing certain aspects based on the client’s thoughts.

2004

1. Drew up a design in pencil, for the cover of Mix Tape, the Will Turner Collection
2. Communicated with the client via e-mail.
3. Used Adobe Photoshop to render the cover using CYMK colours for printing.

Bakery Assistant at Safeway Niddrie
2001 (September) – 2006 (December)

1. Handled an average of 10 customers per day.
2. Followed recipes to bake assorted cakes, muffins, doughnuts and pastries.
3. Stocked shelved and labelled products with an expiration date.
4. Cleaned the department and adhered to occupational health and safety rules.
5. Checked fridge temperatures and noted the temperatures in the food safety book three times per day, reporting to management if the temperature was above 5 degrees Celsius.
6. Supervised the department on weekends

Dish washer at St George’s Restaurant (NMIT, Preston)
2001 (February – June)

1. Washed large bowls and plates used by students in a cooking TAFE course.
2. Cleaned benches.

Skills:

I regularly use a computer and programs such as Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Director, Lightwave 3D, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack, Audacity, Filezilla, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
I have a basic knowledge of HTML, ActionScript and PHP.
I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil and especially excel at facial expressions.
I can competently use a drawing tablet.
I can draw up a storyboard to visualise how certain shots will look.

Achievements:

Participated in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge
Completed the Duke of Edinburgh Award for the bronze medal
Performed as part of the Monash Schools Drama Festival.
Had a short film, Frogman, screened at Federation Square as part of the Diegesis film festival.
Designed a book cover for Mix Tape, The Will Turner Collection, which was published.
My webcomic, Ultimate X, was ‘featured’ on the website DrunkDuck
Won ‘Best Imaging Award’ at the Advanced Diploma of Multimedia Graduate’s Exhibition for my piece, The Unearthly Extravaganza
Was a finalist in the 2007 ATOM Awards in the category ‘Best Tertiary Multimedia’ with my piece, The Unearthly Extravaganza
Was a finalist in the 2008 AIMIA Awards in the category ‘Best Tertiary Multimedia’ with my piece, The Unearthly Extravaganza
